CLINICAL SUPERVISION

Family Focused Supervision and Guided Reflective Practice

A place to share our stories and collective wisdom, connect with our own inner resources and challenges, practice new skills, challenge and refine our frameworks.

SUPERVISION FOR YOUTH WORKERS AND PROFESSIONALS WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE

Young people accessing our services are unique and precious individuals, often coming from disadvantaged environments, holding complex stories of trauma, injustice, and distress.

Inviting Victorian adult AOD sector practitioners who see clients aged 16 – 21 to participate in this free 1-day training!

July 2017 - in two locations: Hastings & Hoppers Crossing

We want to build on the extensive skills and experience of AOD sector workers by providing a developmental overlay to their existing capabilities, to increase engagement and effectiveness with adolescent clients.

The Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS)  has launched a School Presentation Service!

Our presentations are developed from an evidence-base of ‘what works’ in school drug education programs.

School presentations by YSAS are supported by over 20 years of direct practice with young people who have substance-related problems.

Our goal:

To empower student choices through education about drugs and alcohol

The learning outcomes can be discussed to meet the needs of your teachers and students.

The Young Parents AOD Toolbox provides easily accessible and effective information for the supporters and carers of young families and substance use.

Helping you to help them. Everything you need at your fingertips.

A new brochure describing the care planning model “Care Planning for Resilience” has been published by YSAS and the Centre for Youth AOD Practice Development.

Care Planning for Resilience applies evidence from developmental science and resilience research, and has the purpose of creating a motivating plan which addresses the issues that matter to the young person.
